Girth weaving, a type of weaving that is about to disappear, is coming to life again with bags. It is completely handmade from Black Sea villages and is made from upcycled yarns from old sweaters.

Since girth weavings are handmade, they are not perfect.

Mah-roc, inspired by nature, means 'Moon and Sun' in the Baloch language. Established in 2016 with the aim of promoting awareness about sustainable and upcycled fashion, Mah-roc collects unwanted and surplus fabrics from various countries and cultures, accumulating them in their workshop located in Balat, Istanbul.

Each product is inspired by the lifestyle and styles of the Baloch community, who have lived as refugees in Afghan lands and possess a mysterious past. The designs are unique and irreplaceable, just like the beautiful community they draw inspiration from.
