Whether it's the growing ecological awareness or the influence of the activist identity of the new generation, it’s clear that consumption habits and lifestyle practices are beginning to change for a more sustainable world. Day by day, more people are making efforts to adopt a lifestyle in balance with our planet.

In June 2021, with the launch of the Vitruta Sustainability Program, we aimed to take on our share of responsibility. Our goal was to guide conscious consumers transparently by addressing sustainability across various topics, while also supporting and practicing sustainable fashion.

The first step in this journey was to evaluate ourselves, the brands within our portfolio, and the products according to various criteria. When we started, only 20% of the products under Vitruta were labeled as sustainable, but today that percentage has increased to 36%. For products made from at least 50% natural materials, we carry out reforestation activities by dropping seed bombs via drones in areas that require afforestation.

To obtain the most accurate information about the sustainability activities of the brands in our portfolio, we created a transparent sustainability survey in collaboration with our expert consultants. Based on these criteria, we highlight brands that are performing well and leading in sustainability, regardless of their products. The number of these brands continues to grow day by day. Additionally, we have transitioned to 100% renewable energy across all our offices, stores, and warehouses. By supporting renewable energy sources certified under the international I-REC standard, we have reduced our energy-related carbon emissions to zero and obtained the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC).

Of course, there’s still much to do and a long way to go. But we also know that avoiding action due to the pursuit of “perfection” and not striving for the future we envision would go against the very essence of vitruta. 😊 Guided by our motto, “Responsibly Curated for Good People,” we are motivated to introduce more nature- and animal-friendly brands, inspire each other, and amplify our collective positive impact.
