Material Information

'PUrTEX∞' is an ultra-durable and unique technology material produced by Ucon Acrobatics after years of development. It provides increased durability and long life with reduced thickness; it contributes to the circular economy with a low ecological footprint. This material, produced from recycled textile waste, is reinforced with a solvent-free polyurethane (PU) coating. The PU foam layer with a cross-link structure offers functionality similar to molded rubber. The surface adhesion strength is four times better and the scratch resistance is 100 times higher than traditional artificial leather. No solvents such as DMF and VOC are used in the production process. CO2 emissions are reduced by more than 50%, energy use is reduced by more than 40% and it is obtained from renewable resources. Recycled PET yarn is used in the material base; with the 'dope dye' dyeing process applied before the yarn knitting process, water consumption is reduced by 90%, chemical consumption by 80%, energy use and CO2 emissions by 50%.
