Description

Photographer Dominique Nabokov spent his childhood in a detached house in the French town of Compiègne, where he was raised by his aunt Simone. After his aunt's death in 1999, he wanted to capture the memory of the place he started and the person behind it by photographing the house as it was.

This book follows Dominique's famous Living Rooms series. This series intimately portraits the photographer's cultural worlds such as New York, Paris and Berlin. The book is Dominique's most personal project, and the photographs are accompanied by a vivid memoir based on an interview by Gini Alhadeff.
