Opening Ceremony and Vans, two iconic brands that have been continuing their long-standing fashion partnership with creative collaborations since 2014, have come together again for a new capsule collection.

The duo, who continue their work without slowing down, have signed a global collaboration for the first time. This time, the capsule collection will be available not only at Opening Ceremony stores, but also at many contracted sales points around the world.

Opening Ceremony reinterprets Vans’ iconic checkerboard on the Authentic model with two new patterns. Although the details of the patterns are not obvious from a distance, a black leopard figure and an abstract snake figure attract attention when examined closely.

Opening Ceremony co-founder Humberto Leon states that he loves snakes because they are spiritually and physically powerful, and leopards because they are one of the most powerful animals in the world.

Leon says that one of the reasons he chose the snake and tiger figures is so that those who wear these sneakers will feel more predatory and powerful.

The striking sneaker models from the Vans X Opening Ceremony collection will be available at vitruta.com and vitruta stores starting February 19th.
